{ sound | bytes } new music + artist discovery edition no. 8 Attention by Tiwa Savage   Okay, admittedly I’m pretty late to Tiwa Savage, known widely as the queen of Afrobeat music and the biggest female artist in Nigeria. Tiwa’s international fame grew over the course of 2019 alongside artists such as Mr Eazi and Wizkid, owed to the rising popularity of afrobeats. Tiwa closed out the year with the release of Attention which you can take a listen to below.   Heart Shaped Box by Amber Mark   I don’t often post covers, but Amber Mark’s take on Nirvana’s classic, Heart Shaped Box, is just too hard to pass up on sharing. After recording it in her apartment during quarantine, she released a mastered version for the masses to enjoy. Amber is an artist that is undoubtedly posed for success in the coming years, with an already established knock out collection of music amplified by the unique deep and rich tones she balances throughout her discography.
